I have Belanger headers going on my truck now, ive heard that aftermarket heads with specific porting will not fit Belanger or wont line up ? I could be wrong but it sounds like something might be there.
It's disappointing these engines were made so weak, regardless i'm still in for the long haul. I plan on taking mine off the road next year and doing the internals first. I've seen more and more 6spd swaps being done also.
This carnage looked brutal, but in the long run its probably worth the engine being out to help us all with what might be in our future. Does anyone know if this is an outcome expected to happen or is there a mileage range to think this might happen at ?
Who on earth complains about losing money when they completely sheet canned their most popular model / engine and got rid of the entire SRT design team which is what brought customers in by the droves.
Still though, for me it would be easily over 10k where i'm from. But then again 10k is actually not bad for a completely rebuilt full long block. That way it could sit for a season and you could then accumulate a number of internal parts that will turn it into a beast.
Thx, last parts trough is on special order. Then i might be able to drive her for a month or so and then winter hits. Will be another winter in the garage and wait till spring.
Suspension is done, all maintenance, Brakes, and other parts installed, I'm not too good at sizing pics properly for this forum, so i hope they don't blow up your screens ? The top pic is about 2 hours after purchase.
