Did you ever try a differant browser just to see if we can narrow this down? The hardest part of diagnosis, is not being able to replicate it (at least on my end) so you have to be my eyes and report back. With over 12k people, and 4-6 people having issues, it's a very low percentage...

I have the mopar fm kit in the acr. It works well with no static. It does however loose it's connection once in a while, and I have to unplug my iPhone and plug it back in again. That's the only gripe I have with it. I have a req?? Radio.

If it just spins, then it might just spin with and impact too. Can it be held with vice grips and drill through the lugnut? If so, I would go that route.
