The compressor clutch cycles to prevent the evaporater from icing up. ONce that happens, the ice blocks air flow, and you get no cooling.

Mine hasn't locked completely, but every once in a while, when I start the truck, the volume is all the way down, it has switched to AM, and the bass and treble settings reset to the middle of the adjustment. This is not a 6 disc, but nav w/o the onscreen map, BTW. Anyone experienced this?

Eesh. My friend at work has a Lightning fully custom built for the desert - basically cab, engine, and parts of the frame are all that's left of the original truck. It turned out pretty badass, but seems like kind of a waste.
