sorry they come in there. you just scroll with thw millage/trip button and it shows trans temp millage trip oil life and fuel filter life. i would think u would install one in the trans pan:dontknow: drill and tap it.

remove the wire and measure resistance to grd off the sender. then crank the truck and do the same. u should see it change.

That would be putting a bandaid on the problem. Crappy gauges from the factory, I would go aftermarket.

It deff. Sounds like running it like that hurt it. A data logging system would keep u from having to run it again and make things worse to find exsiting/previous problems.

The gauge is usually the problem. I would start looking for the sender near the oil filter housing, that's where the usually are
