Here is the run with the lightening. This video was taken by a neighbor of mine who is a lightening owner. The truck I was running is driven by moderator on a lightening site I go to. They are awesome folks. In this run, we both had bad times. Later in the evening, the lightening got a 12.2.
Here is the time slip.
R/T .656
60' 1.898
330 5.292
1/8 7.987
MPH 91.69
1000 10.281
1/4 12.199
MPH 117.20
This was the best run. I did improve on R/T by my 3rd run. I was at .075. My 60' went down though. I only made 3 runs as it was busy and there was a significant head wind. On...
We are home, and everything and everyone is safe.
I am working on a video upload. My first and best run of the night was a 12.19. I was asleep at the light :) as you can hear my daughters critique at the end of the video. I did not get a good launch, but it was my best of the night.
I will...
My plan is to add about 5 gallons of 116 octane to the last 1/4 tank of 92 octane.
My question is will this add safety to my tune, or am I just wasting $9.00 a gallon?
I am not trying to increase power as I know this requires the tune in order to get the benefit.
Thanks,
Dale
Today I changed the engine oil, ROE oil, checked the rear diff oil, and adjusted the 4 link. Just needs a bath, then it is ready for the track. Getting nervous.
I have to be honest I had tears in my eyes through all of it. This hits so close to home. I was there, and I felt the power of a dream at the hands of others.
There are good people doing good things in this world. We just have to open our eyes and receive the blessings that they share with us.
Well I replaced the pulleys. I now have the original pulley by the thermostat housing as an 82 mm unit. The original ROE idler is now a 100 mm unit. I also added one at the top of the support bracket, and it is 100 mm. The belt seems to be tight. But I am still seeing boost drop.
So, maybe...
The SC pulley is 2 27/32" dia. It is the largest of the set I got from Kyle. I am using the Stinker 7" crank as well.
My heads were originally ported by PBJ. They also had 2.02 and 1.60 valves added at the time. During the second rebuild, JM Cylinder Heads checked over and verified the heads.
We are at 9.0 : 1.
I just had an electrical issue resolved, I was getting random lampout on the rear of the truck. And I just picked up new idler pulleys so I can try to stop the belt slip. So with a little luck, I will get it all dialed in and the run files to Sean this weekend.
The numbers were uncorrected, because I did not know how to use the software when I was going through the files.
Here is the STD conversion:
No, I know it is not the biggest HP. That honor belongs to others. But it makes me smile.
Looks like a leglass lizard. Does it have eye lids? If so, then it is a leglass lizard. They are sometimes called a glass snake.
Is the tail in tact? If it is a leglass lizard, they will sometimes drop their tail when they are frightened. The tail will wiggle about while the lizard tries...
