I don't think your going to save enough fuel to offset the cost of the gear swap and tune. The price difference from midgrade to premium is really negligible, it'll tow and stop the weight just fine.

Engines are pretty solid, probably get 12mpg as is if you kept your foot out of it

Cal tracks and v1r bars can both support full weight of a truck without bending, not that the concrete culvert in my driveway has ever tested that theory.
