It's only going to shift as fast as you pull the lever, you'll still have to use the clutch to shift aswell. It's a sequential SHIFTER not a sequential transmission.
Going into an 04 i think you're ok, 05-06 have a different crank sensor location but worst case I could see I'd just extend the harness to reach the different locations
