Yep, you discovered one of the major problematic OEM components. I switched to the Toyo Proxy IIs. Significantly improved dry traction and little to no improvement in wet traction. I had about 10K miles on these and they were wearing very well. I was expecting at least 40k out of these...

Sorry to hear the news. Keep your head up, it will all work out in the end. They have laid off a lot of people at my work also. We are tied to the construction industry so we will be hurting until that picks back up.
