Where can I find a parts manual - some parts I’m looking for are missing

There is a big difference between “interchangeable” aka “suitable replacement”, and the actual part # which was delivered with the truck. Kind-of of like my engine on the other car. No one would ever know that it has oversized pistons and roller rocker since it’s not visible from the other...

Where can I find a parts manual - some parts I’m looking for are missing

I heard you sister! In the Corvette world they have experts that just know it, and they judge your car. On my car I was really worried that it was stolen at one time. 1964 Corvettes didn’t rivet the visible VIN plate to the frame. Mine VIN plate had “rose bud rivet”. Luckily on Corvettes...

Where can I find a parts manual - some parts I’m looking for are missing

One would think to believe that, but I don’t think it’s true. My example of the wheel wells is a prime example. The base part number for the 2004 thru 2006 is 55275834 (right) & 35 (left). However, they modified (Rev’d) the mold to make update for God know what reason. So if you look at the...

Where can I find a parts manual - some parts I’m looking for are missing

The Fascia is broken. Slowly I am moving to different areas of the truck as I am working other issues. Since I just finished the front end rebuild, I am replace items such as the wheel well since it was destroyed by having the truck lowered and bottoming out and cracking the ABS. Being an...

    Caliper piston seized

What is the speed bleeder part number for the rear? EDIT: Never mind, found it: Dorman, P/N 12701 - speed bleeder - for rear Ram SRT-10 Brakes. 38-24x1.19 (aka 3/8-24 X 1-3/16 In.) I had bought them for my Black truck and just my Amazon order from a couple years ago.

Where can I find a parts manual - some parts I’m looking for are missing

Where can I find different (varied) parts manual for a 2005 QC? i.e. as up-to-date as the Mopar dealer has? For example, I am trying to find the front fascia panel, part number 05029920AB and/or 05029921AB in the parts manual. Not sure of the release date, but that manual is posted in this...

Replacing spark plugs - Piece of cake!

It was the plugs everyone seemed to be b*thing about since they said #7 & #9. If you take the wheel well out, you just reach in there and remove plug wire (not the coil side plug wire).

Replacing spark plugs - Piece of cake!

I was dreading replacing the spark plugs after reading all the horror stories. It is so easy! So here’s how I did mine. - Remove front tire for whatever side you are replacing the spark plugs first. - Using a sharpie, make a small mark on the inner fender wheel well where the 5/16 hex screws...

Spark plug heat shields - Remove them, or, leave them in?

What I don’t understand is how the heck do you replace spark plug #7 and #9? Geez, I can see how people keep the original plug in there. I am waiting for a magnetic spark plug socket to hopefully get it out. I know my arms are going to get scratched up and cut as if I’m wrestling a bear. I...

Spark plug heat shields - Remove them, or, leave them in?

It makes sense to keep them in, since that’s the way the truck left the factory. I just wonder why these people (many of them) are removing them. I wanted to run it by you guys 1st. On some of the other forums, if you say something not exactly perfect they are less forgiving.

Spark plug heat shields - Remove them, or, leave them in?

I am now starting to put in my Champion 438 spark plugs. The very 1st plug I took out the heat shield (item 8 on the attached) came out when pulling off the spark plug wire. I read a bunch of different posts of people saying to remove them, and, others saying to leave them in. Yet no one is...

04 Stalls when hot. Requires PCM Reset

My bet is it’s your fuel pump. So many people run the gas tank less than a 1/4 tank all the time (like my wife). The fuel keeps the pump cool. You’ll see so many vehicles in warmer area broken down along the road because of the fuel pump overheating. That’s my 2 cents for what it’s worth.

    What does your knuckle show?

The truck was bought from Kansas. Not sure where it was before that. It is a lot of rust, but I'm wondering if its also due to cheap metal. I need to get a Carfax, but dang they change so much money. I due want to know the history. btw: The picture showing the fender is perfect! I know...

    What does your knuckle show?

When you say “fender”. Where at on the fender? Just trying to get an idea. It’s 10:30pm now, or I’d just go measure different areas of the fender. btw: the Silver truck is the one that was lowered, which I’m converting back. When I replaced the LCA on my Black truck, I measured the coil...

    What does your knuckle show?

Now that you guys mentioned it, I will be painting my rear leaf springs when I take them out when I flip them back to the normal, out of the factory, location.

    What does your knuckle show?

That picture is the very best. There is no way you can't confuse it sitting on top of the axle for a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10. Sorry for using the word "rear end" I thought all rear axles were called rear ends. Jim, for some reason I thought you had a SC. Thank God you have a QC too...

    What does your knuckle show?

Man, I finally (almost) given up about a normal 2005 QC rear leaf spring location, when it left the factory (i.e. factory installed). I read, and re-read what everyone wrote, and I’m still confused. It still seems like there are two different views. To give it one last try, to help this...

    What does your knuckle show?

Man, you guys have me all messed up now. On my QC Black truck (non-lowered), ie original out of the factory, the leaf spring is on top of the axle. On my QC silver truck (which is lowered), the leaf spring is on the bottom of the axle. I.e. they flip the spring from the top to the bottom of the...
