No you want, In fact you can set it up so the AM/FM can be different than the CD/Ipod. And yes the Ipod can work on this unit, this is how I currently have it set up and steering wheel controls work to. Just doesn't display info. mine show track#..(1-99) and time flips from 1:00 to 2:00

I have a RB4 nav unit up for sale. Everything works great! I'm currently using this so pics with it on will be no problem. This is for the head-unit, nav disk, and antenna. The nav disks are still sealed in original packing (AE- I believe), the antenna is brand new, and the head-unit looks mint...
