    Who's out in California?

I'm in Oceanside. Was in south Orange County until about 2 years ago. CE number 107.

    hood question

I believe they are mainly for aerodynamics. Too much turbulent airflow through that grill is not good. Also, the stock airbox get all its air from the fenderwell. Much cooler than underhood air.

Reproduction RAM SRT-10 New Truck Window Sticker

I got a Monroney label for my wife's car and it was accurate. I got one for my 2005 CE and there was no mention of the CE as an option package. It wasn't offered as a choice in the editing section, and white was not an available color option.

    Tires

I have them, too. I like them much more than the two sets of Toyos before.

    Oil

I actually called Tremec and asked what they recommend. I was told that the OEM was the officially approved fluid, but "a lot of guys use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF" and it works very well. So that is what I used.

    04 Viper Truck in CA

The K&N doesn't affect the smog testing, although I keep my old paper filter for when I'm cleaning and oiling the K&N anyway. I also haven't had any problems with the BBK in plain sight either, but also saved the stock one just in case. Gibson shorty headers and Magnaflow cat back don't do a...

    Wheeler Dealer

Wheeler Dealers I (almost literally) ran into Mike yesterday at the big Hot Rod and In N Out event at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona. They were filming something in a crowded area of the pits, and I only saw the cameras and crew at the last second. Mike got out of a car and it dawned on me...

Will the SRT-10 remain the baddest ever?

There might be a truck with more power and faster, forced Induction makes that fairly easy. There is never going to be one with naturally aspirated 500+ cubic inch V10 2 valve pushrod motor putting out these kind of numbers. And most definitely not with a manual trans. Keep yours, there's...

    Air bag recall. Again.....

Air bag I finally got around to getting mine done last week, also. No problems at all. They do the passenger side through the glove compartment. It was an easy trouble free process.

    BELANGER HEADERS ARE ON SALE

Nothing but OEM cats are legal anymore, but I'm pretty sure you can buy them for "off road use only". Of course there is always someone who knows "a guy" who can take care of the smog problem. You didn't hear it from me.
