There is no doubt the best team won. The Canadians were favored from the get-go.
It has been said that maybe only three members of the U.S. team could have even made the Canadian roster.
What the USA lacked in talent and skill they largely made up for with heart and scrappy play.
Both...
What a great Gold Medal game and tribute to the sport. Great to see Canada win in their national pastime at their host Olympics, and great to see the USA battle them so close, beating them in the first round and taking the final game to OT.
You could not have asked for a better close to some...
Dang. Is he making that kinda power through cats, or is that an off-highway only package? I figure that's a runwhatchyabrung kinda race for daily drivers...
I keep telling my buddy with a Prius that I will run him with my pushmower. Of course the problem with the Toyautos anymore ain't...
Again, I am a big supporter of what you are attempting. I would argue though that if you are going to go with new valves anyway, a size larger on the intake and exhaust wouldn't be a huge incremental cost. I say get what you can out of the stock heads while you have 'em off. Almost like...
Thanks, Ron. I stand corrected. Had it in my head that the heads alone were $7K plus. :stupido2: Maybe just a rich quote from one of your competitors. ;)
Mr. Stinker:
please keep us posted on your progress and results. I have been interested in a reasonably (whatever that is in Viperworld) priced integrated heads/cam/intake/TB package for a long time, and I am sure others are too. I know that excepting maybe the factory Gen IV castings (with...
That's awesome if the kit comes in for about $5K. J.M. Strikers with rockers, spacers and everything else you need are close to $10K. The savings would leave a lot of room to doctor some exhaust headers to fit. :)
I used to have Boomer's flash and was happy with it except for the fan temps. He told me you couldn't lower them much because it would put to much strain on the stock hydrostatic/power steering system.
After I went with my headers I got even more concerned about underhood temps and bought a...
Nonetheless it's interesting to see a new long tube header offered for our trucks. I didn't expect much aftermarket support any more for a low volume, discontinued vehicle.
I agree though that if they want a test mule 300 bux isn't much of a discount.
I guess I don't get out enough. Didn't realize Tim unloaded his truck after just going through the engine build.
See he has a Viper now. Guess at the end of the day just couldn't make the truck fast enuff....
If you are going to stay N/A, I would talk to VT2933. He did a nice budget-minded (if that's even possible on these trucks) top end buildup on his engine (heads/cam/intake) with good results.
Otherwise I would say call DC Performance. I don't think anyone knows our trucks or Viper engines...
I have the B&B setup and no resonance in the cab. Deep throaty tone turns into a roar above 4K RPM.
The Billy Boat is pricey but I think has some advantages for an old fart like me who likes to listen to tunes and conversation while driving.
The Magnaflow sounds great though if you can...
Again, I'm not dissing the Roe blower. It looks like a great design. I just think you could utilize it better with a proper intercooler. If all I wanted was 100 HP over stock (which is great, I would love to have it) I would probably stay N/A and go with ported heads and a bit bigger cam along...
I am no thermo-dynamic physicist like some of you guys (and I do mean that as a complement) but I do have some experience with a blower/intercooler setup as I had one on my old Silverado SS. A traditional air/water intercooler only operates at ambient air temperature and brings the temperature...
