Ok so I have a guy from springfield MO coming today and says he wants the truck. He has a check from navy federal credit union. (anyone heard of them)?I hate doin a deal like this on a Saturday. Is there a way I could verify funds before he leaves with it?:dontknow:

you need to let your bank verify that check before handing over the truck, unless its a bank certified check then you can call his bank directly to verify it...Iv'e done that twice...1 for a 93 cobra and my srt! It's still early you should be able to call his bank now!

It is a legit Credit union, but you still need to make sure it is legit (account,etc) your wife works at the bank don't she? If he is legit he can give her permission to contact Navy Fed (there actually real nice to deal with.) But don't screw yourself cashiers checks and Money Orders are easier to counterfeit. CYA

Give him the truck and tell him you will mail the title as soon as the check clears...give him a xerox copy of the title with your commitment written on the xeroxed title.

Its easy to get checks.

I would try o see if their main 1800 number is in office. If theyre not in I would wait until monday......

Got the number to the Navy Federal Credit union and the check number and routing number on the check. Called and spoke with a lady and she verified everythings good:rock: I feel much better about the deal now. He should be here in the next 30 minutes:elefant: It's going to be hard to watch it drive away

Just a little advice....make a copy of his driver's license and any other info.......dont mean to worry you but just because the bank says the money is there now dont mean it will be there when your check hits.....it is common for the con to have money in the account so when the victim calls the bank all is good....then bang!!........see this all the time...

The guys name is Shawn he came down with his parents and a friend to pick the truck up. I'm not worried about the deal now

Yes, he is on disability from an IED (i think)
