I had a thread out for a month and got no replies asking if anyone had installed a rear sway bar on a 2006 QC. No one had done it so I took the plunge and ordered one from Summit. I talked to Hotchkis, Helwig, and Adco. Not one of those companies could verify 100% if there rear sway bars would fit a 2006 QC. I did not want to drill into the frame so I ordered one from Helwig which stated "NO DRILL". It installed no problem. Only issue I had was the U bolts were too short because the SRT10 axle is different than a 1/2 ton. I contacted Helwig and they sent me new U bolts and want pics of my install to revise the application guide. The truck still rides very smooth, no rubbing or dragging, and handles a little better on the twisty roads leaving me very happy with the set-up. Hope this helps someone looking to add a rear sway bar on a 06 QC.

Thanks!

I hear you...I only drive 5.5 miles to work and in the mornings my two little girls are with me so I never get on it. On the way home I may hit the throttle sometimes. This truck is babied and I have never smoked the tires. I need to go hit this weekend as a matter of fact and try out the sway bar to see how it performs.

Thanks!

I might be interested in getting one of those... what size of ubolts did they send you... so that I can have them send me the same ones..

I beleive the kit comes with 3" and they shipped me separate 3.5" U-Bolts. Call Helwig and ask for for Gilbert in customer service as he is the guy that helped me out.

Thanks!

how much did lt set you back?

Summit has them for $235 which was not bad. The Hotchkis kit is nice but you have to drill into the frame which I did not want to do and with the Hotchkis kit you can only buy the front and rear sway bar together as a package and not separate. There kit is around $550. The QC's already have a front sway bar so I decided to not got that way. Plus with the Hotchkis rear sway bar having to be drilled, I was not sure if it would even bolt up after I have drilled holes in the frame.

Thanks!
