Yes they did, it's the same 48RE out of the 3500
No it's actually not, the trans case is the same but it's not the Same trans
What are the differences?

The QC auto shares the case and a small hand full of other parts- clutches, Steeles, t-converter totally different.... But i did hear of one texas guy trying to use a cummins converter- it did not last and was not his fault...
Outstanding work! Have you ever thought about working at Lowe's or Home Depot? Because their salespeople's tech support is a lot like yours...Some stuff on the inside, you're welcome for the in depth technical explanation.
