I know they will leak again, but if it takes another 43k miles to start leaking...It will be 6 more years and 86k miles on the clock. I thought that they revised the lines with a new hose design:dontknow: I thought that there was a tsb on them:dontknow:

One more question...since I changed out the tranny fluid to atf+4, how often should I change it?

I believe the factory recomends every 18,000 miles.:dontknow:

I bought 9 qts today for my truck, Wally world had the mopar filter but no Mobile 0w40...had to go to auto zone to get the oil, guy at auto zone looked at me kind of funny buying 9 qts, I told him it was for my John deer tractor:D :D

Mobile 1

That's what I use. My 06 had a label on the oil filler cap says only to use M1 0-50. I have to order it through OReily's. Thanks for the info on the tranny fluid. Saves me looking it up.

Same here too........:D :D :D Had my oil lines replaced at 27k under my extd. warr. After hearing about the oil lines from all of you, I'm now prepared to go back again... Thank god my extd. warr. carries me thru 119k... Whew... I was told that I cannot run a heavier weight oil in this eng. because it will not pump it up to the top as fast and the engine will have probs. soon after... Is this true?? :dontknow:

I replaced my oil cooler lines with about 10K amd are wet already with 18K on it now :( , for the M1 0W40 thats all I've ran since new thats what Dodge wants in there and recomends. They did the tests on it and will for sure be way better on a cold start up! ;). 0 is the cold weight so its thinner and 40 is the hot running weight of the oil,I recall having this explained before that a 0W40 oil will be running at the same hot viscosity as 10W40 when hot. I'm sure someone can explain how this works better;)

I have a question:confused:
What is the issue with the oil lines? I have 33,000 miles on the truck with no issue.:dontknow:

If I need to get them replaced I need to know.

Thanks

Excact same thing happened to me last month, they guy at Walmart said Exxon/Mobil sends their oil to all their filling stations first and then ships out the rest to other merchants....since hurricane ike happened, its been a little to find around here too. I used a 5W-40, trucks running great
