I posted a thread a few weeks back regarding my auto tranny and how it was acting weird. I had it serviced at the tranny shop..they diagnosed needing valve body and trans fluid service, and added lube guard...well now 2 weeks later I am getting this annoying as hell 1-2 shift and sometimes it holds so long before it shifts that I almost think it's not going to..(this only happens with slow acceleration of the light) then when I'm going sometimes it goes from 1-2 2-3-3-2....is this normal because sometimes it gets so annoying I don't even feel like driving the truck???? In other words why doesn't it just act like a normal transmission and shift from 1-2-3-4 instead of 1-2-3-2-3-4, it feels like it goes in and out of the gears like it doesn't know which one it's wants to be in??? Any help??

kickinasst-10 Guess What??? In your last post I told you mine did this. Guess what else??? Mine stated doing it after I got the fluid changed too!!! I have been told that the filters get clogged on the solenoids in the tranny. They are easy to replace (mine are still sitting on my work bench tho) but it means draining all the fluids and replacing them and then buying more fluids:mad:

how far out is the cable pulled on the intake mount. there is an adjustment there for shift firmness, it also holds the shift longer. the linkage is right next to the throttle cable. pull the grey clip out and make sure its in the middle of the "grooves". I drove around with mine pulled all the way out and it shifted very hard and under slow accelration it would hold first for a long time.

fyi...i had an 06

check the adjustment of your detent first, if that dont work then bbest thing is to replace the solenoids as 50 described , but, you need to have the tranny fully flushed when you do this , or the problem will reacure later

Thanks...Im almost positive I'm having some mechanical issue...earlier after I posted this I got on the hwy and experienced a very hard bang from 3-4 gear at about 110mph...then I got back into the city and the truck started bouncing like it didn't want to get out gear...imagine rolling then pumping ur brakes lightly about 3 or 4 times...that's exactly what I felt...so if something is going to break it's going to happen soon...what way would I want to adjust that cable by the intake???

Call Dusty at HTS Transmission. 877-630-9122

Could be a number of things from TV cable way out of adjustment to a bad valve body. Most likely the governor solenoid plugged up from debris. Problem is where is the debris coming from? Probably have smoked clutches. Trust me I know from experience with the two transmissions I went through. Do yourself a favor and get the right parts to fix your transmission. The factory parts suck and cause timing issues on the shifts. I am just giving you the highlights here as some background to give you an idea of what you are dealing with.
