A while back I was looking for before and after pics of a Beltech 1.5" rear lowering shackle for a 2006 QC. No one had both before and after pics. I remember several members wanting to see some pics after the install so here they are. It made a difference to me in that it sits just about level and is not jacked up in the rear any longer. Hope this helps someone looking to do this mod...

Thanks!

Thanks...no vibration issues at all. Also using a rear Helwig sway bar as well with no problems. Your truck looks good as well. How much did you drop it?

Thanks!

Which hellwig sway bar are you using? I can't find one for the SRT, but a 1.125" one for the normal 1500, will that work? Also, is there any upgraded sway bar for the front or polyurethane bushings available?

Alright, I know that you didn't disappear after I posted a question.... also hellwig lists a sway bar for a 1500 with a 4" drop, would that be better if I plan on lowering the truck doing a mild drop (1/3)?

Believe it or not, nothing. That is the stock stance for my truck. It seems like its lowered in the pics, but its ass is way in the air...:D

Here's a link to the thread on the Helwig sway bar I installed. It is part number 7651. I would contact Helwig directly and ask for Gilbert. He can help you with questions about your truck being lowered. I beleive a vendor on here has upgraded bushings and Helwig does have a front sway bar for our trucks but I think it is the same diameter as stock so I did not see a benefit in changing it out. Hotchkis makes hollow sway bars which are lighter than stock but they are only sold as a kit containing front and rear bars and with Hotchkis you have to drill the frame which I did not want to do.

Thanks!

I was going to mention the door handles but forgot...I got the handles from Justin at JMB. Paint quality is excellent and it looks very clean on the truck and not too blingy for me. The black handles just don't look good especailly if you wax your truck often they always get that white residue on them.

Thanks!

What did they set you back???

I can't remember exactly but I think around $600 for all four door handles, tail gate handle, and the rear license plate light pieces. They came out great.

Thanks!

how much was the shackle and where did you get it>

I got the shackle from Summit for about $75 shipped. It is a Beltech 1.5" drop rear shackle.

Thanks!
