Alright, I currently have a brand new, never installed billet Suncoast tranny. The one I had sprung a leak and they replaced it with a brand new one with some upgrades since my first one. Replacement value is over $7,000 plus shipping. I am considering selling it and going another route.
Seriously considering a turbo 400 (TH400) and a gear vendors overdrive. Waiting to hear if this setup will work correctly if I leave it as an auto, in other words not a manual valve body. So here is the question... this whole setup together will be longer than the current transmission. How much I am not sure yet. Should I modify the two piece or go to a regular 1 piece driveshaft?? I will be running Stinkers rearend with 10.5 slicks, 4.88 gears, on the juice should be around 1000rwhp. Am I going to pretzel the driveshaft? I know I can get one built that will take the abuse but the way I know to do that is HEAVY.
Any thoughts guys??
