I believe he should get the complete B&B exhaust system. From headers all the way back, plus add a K&N drop in filter. Then get a flash or tune, and you won't believe the difference.

Quite a few people mention different mods to get me to where I should be, BUT here is the deal IMO. I want to get a truck that is already up to par. I don't want to mod it just to get it where stock should be. If others can "cook" the tires stock and I can't, this makes me very unhappy.

check to see what kind of plugs you have. The previous owner could of had it tuned and put colder plugs in and it will run like shit stock. Or the plugs are fouled and need to be changed. Here is something to live by K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid (no offense to you) just start out with the simole stuff plugs wires this will make a big differance in how your truck runs.
