check to see what kind of plugs you have. The previous owner could of had it tuned and put colder plugs in and it will run like shit stock. Or the plugs are fouled and need to be changed. Here is something to live by K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid (no offense to you) just start out with the simole stuff plugs wires this will make a big differance in how your truck runs. Then we will go from there.;)

OK, plugs are CHAMPION RC12ECC.

What plugs should I run and gapped to what?

You really should dyno it , then you will know exactly where you stand. Average RWHP is probably 400 bone stock.

not the best but, here is one of the plugs..

dude Find a Shop MONDAY and have it DYNO'd i hate to see stuff like this happen... im pretty sure you exhaust isn;'t helping you much at all i would hack it off right b4fore the muffler and see if you notice a diffrence..like was said above Keep it simple Plugs wiress and exhaust but have it dyno'd ASAP.. somethings not right.... and by taking a hack saw or a saw'z-all just cut right before the muffler.. i have seen flowmasters clog up and fall in on them selfs

if you replace plug wires you have to remove the intake manifold ,,make sure you need them first

Pulled 2 plugs and they both are about 39-40 it has 27k miles on it.
go get new plugs an keep the gap around 32-35 your stock so that is good for your truck 028 hes running turbos. You will be amazed at the differance. Or clean them and regap them if the stores are closed you will still notice a differance.

Greg if you find a dyno near you let me know! I am in Ruston, LA and haven't had any luck finding one anywhere near me.

Stock should be atlesat 440rwhp... in a rc... AT LEAST ... if your at 400 you have serious problems .

Yes. That is the one.

Quite a few people mention different mods to get me to where I should be, BUT here is the deal IMO. I want to get a truck that is already up to par. I don't want to mod it just to get it where stock should be. If others can "cook" the tires stock and I can't, this makes me very unhappy.

Have you got her running better yet??
