Anyone used 100 octane unleaded in a stock 10? Any bad stuff happen(Throw codes etc) Any power gains? What if it is mixed 50/50?:dontknow:

unless you are running really lean ,i dont see why you would need it ,,,to rich you loose power,,:dontknow:

From what i understand unless you are tuned to run higher octane fuel, you gain nothing and may actually loose performance from running higher octane. If it does not knock with 93 then you will only hurt you wallet by buying the 100 . 87 is supposed to be regulated to be just as clean burning as 93 .93 just has more anti knocking agent in it so you can run more timing or compression.... I think . Not an expert just what was handed down to me.

Rich and lean is an air fuel thing not an octane thing :p :p

You should talk to Ram From Hell, HVSRT,MOPARRACING, Eric,Donnie and Randy knows there stuff when it comes to these motors!!

ms109 (101 octane)i seem to have pretty good luck with, but then again im not stock, my egt are low compared to 98 octane.

I would like to here what you guys think about ethanol mixture in gas. Most of the big names around here all have at least 10 % ethanol . Again not an expert but I have always heard this makes the gas cost less per gallon but it also causes you to lose mpg. I always fill up at a Phillip 66 that sells the 93 2 cents more a gallon but grantees no ethanol . They even have a sigh up saying you get more mpg for your money. Then again alcohol helps keeps water out of the gas right?

jst put dam gas in an drive:D you ainta gonna get snot unless your tuned for it or running hi comp, butbasically if your stock on a stock tune , you will actually slo doooooooowwwwwwwwwwn,

dont give a poop what anyone says:p

but stuff smells dang good:D

man we used to run this stuff, dang i wish I could remember the freaking name!

make stupid power when tuned right in a bike, like 15 hp at the wheels!

only bad thing was is it eat up valves every 500 miles:D

but you could throw a flame onto the guy behind you if he was close enough braking for a corner:p :p
but now ya sniffed that stuff and ya lost a dang lung or two!LOLOLOL

there's a po-dunk texaco right near my house and they sell 93 premium and no ethanol...and i don't care what anybody says...when you fill up twice a week...i notice if i get gas with ethanol (say bp here) i get a mile or 2 sometimes 3 worse than when i go to the texaco...needless to say...i almost always go to texaco...or chevron...they "got good gas" too

I run Sunoco 101 low lead with a 96+ octane tune. Don't know if I noticed am improvement, but it didn't seem to hurt anything.

I actually believe it is the other way around price wise. Ethanol makes gas MORE expensive. E85 is currently cheaper than gas but isn't that a mix of gas and ethanol???

The only non gas car I will buy will be a hydrogen vehicle or maybe the compressed air car. Other than that, no Prius, Insight, or Tesla for me. Ever had a drill battery go bad?? Wonder what happens to the car if it sits for a year while you go overseas??? I can tell you, a $6,000 bill for new batteries!!!

Yeah did not even think about how much the e85 stuff cost. I don't believe I have even seen a pump with the stuff in it. I know it hurts mpg. If it cost more to add what are the benefits ?? Maybe that's why all the stations can claim there cleaner burning.
I agree 100 percent on the hydrogen thing . I can't understand why the current administration cut all funding for hydrogen(witch we could set up factory's for and make it our selves) but gives tax cuts for cars with batteries mostly supplied from China. I know hydrogen is expensive right now to make but we should invest money in to better ways to produce it .

Ok thanks guys for the info. No race fuel for the stock 10. I can't find ANY gas around here without ethenol. Hell, a month ago they were selling gas locally with elevated levels of ethenol in it (18-24%) and F'in up cars. All over the local news. We should have a choice even if we gotta pay more for the pure stuff...
