Sounds like a gun shot when it "shoots" (shutter opening and closing).

I think that's the same place that had the 1 million frames camera I saw, but I believe it was made by Photosonics (or their Defense Department division). It was a 70mm camera with a 6' rotating disk that held the film. The entire thing was laser-guided and mounted on a trailer. It was used as part of the Tomahawk missile project. They had dozens of them lined up on a hillside, and as the missile came through the little valley it would perform certain moves. The cameras were there to make sure the movements/adjustments were made correctly. It sounded like automatic gunfire when the cameras went off.

Rotating prism and rotating mirror cameras are pretty amazing.

Video is catching up, but it will be a long time before they're equal to "the dark side". LOL

I love slo-mo... Just not on my truck. That is an awesome video though. Want to see a car accident at 1000fps. That would great to see the metal bending and creasing to see the weak spots.
