I am upgrading to the biggest M&H DR and have 17X10" rims. I know they'll fit and seal on the rim but is there any danger to running this setup? The sidewalls will probably be slanted in slightly.....but are there any safety issues here as long as I don't drop the PSI too low??:dontknow:

good luck mounting them. i dunno if i would roll that setup or not. johns ass isn't gonna be the one flying into the wall at 110 if something messes up. might want to take that into consideration. would you use a 12mm wrench on a 10mm bolt?

It will mount no problem at all, safe? not sure, be sure to use lock bolts

What are lock bolts:dontknow:

Thanks for your concern but if I hit the wall it's gonna be at 120mph:rock:

Sorry Rice Eater probably wrong name let me look you up a link buddy:p

do you mean screws through the rim into the rubber to hold the tire from slipping on the rim? I don't plan on running these tires below 17 lbs

I'm so confused. What size drag tire/slick and appropriate rim will fit on the truck ('04 with 4.10 gears) without shaving the calipers? This combo would be used for drag racing. Still looking for something that will fit over factory front calipers with a slick of some sort for road racing. I know its been brought up before but it gets confusing (for me) rather easily.

It doesnt need to be a pretty wheel, just fits over the factory calipers and gets the job done.

17" wheels fit over the rear calipers w/out grinding. w/ a 17" wheel you have to go to a drag radial M&H has 3 different sizes. I haven't found a 17" slick....but the radials hook purty damn good!

What was the backspacing and offset for the 17x10? Where did you get it? For a supercharged application what size tire would you recommend? I appreciate the info, with so many options in can get confusing.

go to www.aewheel.com they are model #058 this link might work:

These with M&Hs biggest Drag Radial would work good w/ a supercharged applicaiton.....but like stinker said if you want the best you gotta shave the calipers down and get a custom 16" wheel made. From what I hear the CCW's are 400 bucks per wheel.....I got my wheels for $130 each. So considerable cost difference.....not sure if you are going for a title shot or not but the aewheel setup will work just get the big M&H's!

I just ordered a new set of slicks and skinnines.....Black anodized. Slicks on the back are copies of mike and Patricks setup.

there is no such thing as a 20" Skinny....:D ...you bought a narrow radial.....

I bought whatever John Purner recommended. Not gonna get much use but I think itll be alright.....cuts weight anyways. Those stock 22's are heavy as hell.
