I don think telling the judge my speed-o-meter was off is going to work on this oneseth said:
Not sure how it is where your at, Most courts here you can plea no contest and ask for Deferred adjudication. Which comes with a 90 to 120 day probation but each court is different. Cost me a few hundred each time but no marks on the driving record. . Good luck and i would lawyer up with a 150mph ticket.

VA is tough. In Va Beach 71 in a 55 (On the higway) was an automatic 4 days in jail regardless of driving history.

25+ over is concidered reckless, but according to guidlines unless other crimes are involved it's just a speeding fine if your 25-55 mph over the limit... Same points as a regular speeding ticket...

I got clocked at 123 in my my 01 Lightning and did 4 days in jail and three months loss of license.(reduced from 30 days and 6 months ! )

In most of the western states 10 over the limit is cool. But having said that I did once get a ticket for 57 in a 55 on a California freeway! Reckless here usually includes something else other than just speeding, used to be a time when you could get yourself a wet reckless instead of a DUI, but those days are long gone.
