Has anyone done a DIY on the thermostat install? I just received my SCT programmer and now I decided to get the 170 degree thermostat as well. Will it make a difference if I didn't tell Marty about that part or will I need to be concerned with a re-program already?

If anyone has information or pics on the install, please post. I'm not much of a gear head but I hope I can do the install easily.

Thanks!

without changing the t-stat, your hyd fan will run on high speed once it gets warm because of the tune t-stat new setting....... not a problem, just noisy....

the swapping of the t-stat is really pretty easy, that 4th bolt everyone talked up as so bad really wasn't for me..... the problem i had was my radiator drain plug fell out & i had to remove the radiator - turn it upside/down & retrieve the holding nut inside......:(
if you do a search on the t-stat swap out, i'm sure you'll find steps & it's covered in the service manual too......:)

O-rings can be reused several times, just double check for cracks and nicks and that the rubber is soft, the new ones are cheap to buy also, someone posted I think about $12.00 or so.
