fairly new to the site, i see alot of people on here switching to the 170, does it really help that much? All i've done to my 05' QC is magna-flows and KN.

It helps if u get the PCM flashed. Install is a PITA due to one "hidden" bolt and a very soft aluminum cast housing.

Yes it really helps. And you need to get the Stage 2 Pcm + T stat combo:rock: Right now you have a dtuned computer thats robbing you of atleast 30 to 40 hp.

Thanks Chase, don't want to sound dumb but what is PCM flashed? I also noticed you had over the rail rhino liner, does your rear wing still mount nicely?

Thanks Kumar, where do i get that combo and is it hard to install?
Call Dan At Dc Peformance (So Cal) He should treat you right and Give you Truthful information. I didn't install mines But I think You can get intructions on the DYI Section if your a Supporting member. But that Flash will really wake your truck up for sure:rock:

The PCM is the Powertrain Control Module...it is located in the enginbay pass. side at the fire wall. You can buy a new one and have it "flashed" (reprogrammed) or send your OE one in for them to Flash that. I know that DC performance...a vendor her has a new handheld programmer that you can fit up to 3 programs in. For example, a OE program, a race program and a valet program. It make a huge diff. on the QC. I strongly recommend it.

The Rhino lining is great. Wing fits perfect still.

The install is simple....2 bolts and 3 plug

along with the T-stat you must have your Computer re programed (flashed).
It will turn on the fan sooner alowing more timing and some more power. It addition it will remoe the torque managment BS.
