18,000 christmas lights

Been busy all weekend starting the christmas light display...18,000 lights are layed out on the ground and synced to music. Too early to turn them on, but at least they are installed. Still have around 12,000-15,000 lights to still put up. Guess the truck is on the back burner until after the first of the year.

so far everything is supposed to be, if one goes out, they stay lit, but thats not true...they seem to blow in half strands,50 lights at a time

I went to Disney MGM two Thanksgivings ago. They had the whole Main Street. I mean the whole Main Street covered in lights. They played Manheim Steamroller and all the lights started dancing to the music. Plus they had snow makers on the roof dropping flakes on us as we walked the street listening to the music and enjoying the light show. I just so happens that it was cold enough to really put you in the spirit. Until I scalded my mouth on their nuclear hot apple cider.

Sounds like your display is going to be beautiful. You must post a video.

always thought that was really cool when the lights were in sync with the music but never could figure out how it was done? To much technical computer jargon to me saddly, really wish they had a easier way to achieve that effect.
