I picked my hood up saturday from Eddie and worked today on making and installing some custom hood screens for it. Here are a few pics, when im done (tomorrow) ill post up in the DIY thread from start to finish and all the materials. By the way, this was EXTREMELY cheap to do, just have to take your time:rock:

I also painted the underside of the cut-out flat black so when its put back together you wont see the rough fiberglass through the vents;)

Kenny (terrible01)(maypop with the lil red 240 from the last PCB GTG) was helping me today, he's really good at this stuff too. Let me know what you guys think:marchmellow:

Looks good! Are you going to put the piece's you cut off back on?

The screens look just like what I have in my gutters to keep leafs out.

Yup, Stinker called it right:D. About $9 and and I only used half the pack. It's just gutter gaurd, galvanized so it should hold paint pretty well...

looks good bud....

looking good. didnt take you long to get started on it.

Nice work...paint it silver so when you decide that it looked better stock you can send it to me :)

what did you use to hold the screens in

hot glue gun to hold em in place while we used epoxy or fiberglass

Thats it, we formed them and held them in place with a dot glue gun, then used as 2 stage apoxy resin (made for fiberglass and metal) to seal them in place. We used actual fiberglass to hold the hood-scoop screen in.
