HA! and what would happen if i had the same mods? uh, you would read my license plate.......
how did the kids do a soccer practice? :D
I know what would happen. Paul and I were running the same mods as most of the RC's in Panama and I dont think we lost to one RC except for Jack on the bottle. Now we did have DR's, but they just helped make up for the weight difference and we where still spinning a little off the line.

hmmmm, dr's make up for a weight difference?
yeah ok. also help with the 60' times....
hold on kids, i'm going to punch it!

I say a mid to lower 13s myself after you get the hang of it. I actually own a QC "minivan" and can wax many a RC especially on the track. We do have an advantage of not having to be sure and hit gears! This is how I succesfully launch my QC with 1.87 60ft on steet tires.

1. Remove all neccessary items from truck ( coolers, luggage, tailgate if wanted, I never have yet) Lower tire pressure to 12-14 lbs.!!!! I know others have said more, but trust me on this! You can leave front tires where they are. This does a few things, increasesx tire contact patch a bit, allows sidewall to flex a lil more upon lauch, and helps weight transfer a lil as well.

2. REMOVE THE OVERDRIVE BY HITTING THE TOW/HAUL BUTTON ON SHIFTER!
This will prevent you from going into overdrive during your run and losing time.

3. roll through the burnout box, DO NOT spin tires in water box. Just roll over and past it and once you get to the dry area spin the tires off a about 4-5 seconds, no more or your tires will lose stickiness and get oily and slick!!!

4. After you stage at the light, keep the truck around IDLE-1000 rpm and nail it on the 3rd amber light. By the time you react and the truck moves you will be tripping the laser and not redlight. You can always stage shallow or deep as well. Once you are approaching the PRE-STAGE light go slowly and try to stop as soon as it trips that light, then ease on until you barely trip the STAGE light. This gives you a lil more time before redlighting. The longer you inch forward after you have staged the easier it will be for you to redlight.

5. Practice, practice and enjoy your newfound sport!:burnout:

Ahh, yeah they help compensate for the difference in wieght. Hello Scooby, go get your scobby snack. And yes it does help with 60ft times. Anything else earth shattering that you'd like to tell me? :D The bottom line is, you run what you brung. And I'll whoop that red brick that you would bring.

Amen! The RCs with an untrained driver will simply spin through at least the first couple gears and by then it's all over! Seen it, done, and looking for the t-shirt!:burnout:

Last time I checked, a well prepped Auto tranny will out perform any manual tranny. :dontknow: Maybe that's the reason most of the big boy racers run auto's? :dontknow:

it really depends on the drivers, most time and auto will beat a manual if it a rookie - but a season'd racer never happen :)

and girl's beat boy's too - proven FACT girls are better racers :) well reaction times lol

We'll agree to disagree on that one. ;)

Man i can't wait to hit the track with some of yall...I'm willing to drive down to florida and hit it up!

Forgot to add that when you leave off idle of barely into the throttle it gives the chance for the truck to transfer weight to the back tires. When you are preloading the suspension by power braking to 2000-2500 there will be minimal transfer since the suspension is loaded already!

Race me...I have a manual transmission:D ....and I will run you heads up even with your supercharger:rock:

come on now - you cant honestly say that now, im not talkin RACE car's

street performance, take a 5 speed vs an auto - STOCK who's going to win :D

or a STOCK srt10 QC vs a STOCK srt10 RC - who's winning ?

man i would love to be there with you guyz at the G2G, maybe next time around .....

a tuned QC will beat a RC - but not a tuned RC :D :D :D :D :D

Beat plenty of tuned RC's in Panama. Now a built RC on spray is a different story. Too many variables with a manual trans, even on the street. But yes a agree if you take a QC with an auto (torque management still in play) and a RC. The RC will beat it all day long.
