Made my first trip to the track with the new wheels and MH Drag Radials.
I am stock 05 RC except for Magnaflow Cat-Back. Temp was in the low 90's for the first run and in the mid 80's for the last ones (very humid). The DR's really started hooking later on. This is the first time I have had the truck on the track. BTW the wheels are Ultra Motorsport 17x10 aluminum that a friend with a tire shop found for me. Tires are MH 390/40/17. Really had a good time and didnt miss a shift all night (I was worried about the 2nd to 3rd shift).

Sounds like you had a good time. ...yeah..put the wife in the slow vehicle and hope her reaction time is slow..LOL....:p

She actually ran the 10 twice but struggled with the 2-3 shift. She managed a 9.85 on the second run!

Sounds like a good time. I have never ran mine at the track.

Took mine out to the 1/8th mile last night. Also, first time out with MH 390's. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!

Looking at the video again. I think you got me right at the end.

Decent times oncebitten, with a little better weather and some 60ft's in the 1.9's or better you'll knock a whole bunch of e.t. off.

Santeen how were your times before and after the drag radials, also your 60ft's? Also were you able to stay in 4th without shifting into OD with the shorter DR's?

I'll be getting some DR's as soon as the Celica is sold, just wanting to know.

Our track down here is an eight mile, arm drop(pinks style). So no times yet. Kept in tow/haul mode, so no overdrive.

You have to keep it in tow/haul mode or else it will shift right at the line for high 12's. I would hit the button after it shifted into second. It cost me .1-.2 on my time when it shifted into OD. My best 60 with street tires was 2.1 with 13.2 @105. DR's 1.9...12.9 @109:rock:

Hmm so you don't have it in tow haul mode already on the launch? Do you fell it launches harder in regular drive vs tow haul?

nice times man, i'm dying to get back to the track since I only got to make one 1/4mile pass that I spun bad and got sidewards having to let off. Nightime no track prep left and rain, whatcha gonna do right?

Also I'm wondering if the computer pulls timing if your brake torqing it up too long. Oh and with the drag radials do you do your burnout in regular D, or D and tow/haul, 2nd and tow/haul?

I never felt a difference with T/H mode on or off on the launches. Just the method that I have done and gotten used to. I don't brake torque for that long. I stage the first light and wait for the other driver to fully stage. After he lights up the second yellow I finish staging and bring the RPM's up and let her rip.

I do my burnouts in second around 4-4.5k rpms for a little bit and roll out mashing the gas.
