Hennesey's B---S--- again. Claims the first Corvette to hit 200 by using a modified vette from his shop.
Only problem this was done with a factory stock vette on pump unleaded with a street tune by factory Corvette engineer Jim Contes on the public state Ajo highway in Arizona supervised by the Arizona highway patrol. No mods, no nitrous just showroom stock. This was the late 80's with the new at the time overhead cam powered vette for GM ad program. Timing was certified by SCCA clocks at 201.9.
