2003 Harley Davidson V-rod

Very nice bike Eric... Good luck.

Jake, it may be a Harley but they have a lot of torque and a stretched wheelbase in comparison to our bikes which keeps the front wheel down. It will easily be a handful to keep up to off the start.. It's not for me though... Sorry Eric.

Oh, I wasn't "dogging" the Harley at all! I think the V-Rod is a cool bike. It just seems weird to me that it fuel injected and has a engine computer in a Harley Motor. :D That's all.

My bagger has a power commander on it too. And one of these days it will have a turboed 124 inch motor with a 6 speed. One of these days...........

Isn't the EVO motor the only one w/ Fuel Injection? Or am I just "behind the times"... :dontknow:

HD may have upset some die hards with the V-Rod but it was just such an awesome business decision for them to make. The V-Rod is perfect for a guy like me that loves the classic HD but want's a little bit of "crotch rocket" fun. Great bike, man, I'm sure someone will scoop that up.

My wife ordered one for my birthday two years ago and then saw a motorcycle accident and cancelled. It hurt but I understand her concern.

All motors since the Evo have had fuel injection as an option. I don't think fuel injection was available for the Evo unless you went aftermarket. I've owned an Evo, 2 Fatheads, and the V-rod.

Porsche helped them design the engine, so most don't even think it is a HD engine.... :D

Mine is making 115 hp at the rear wheel, and runs 11.3's in the quarter.... :D

Yeah, it will take about any sportbike off the line if you know how to launch it - no wheelies. But they pass ya at about the 1/8 mile..... ;)

The engine that came after the Evo is the Twin Cam 88. The heads are so much bigger on that engine versus the Evo someone nicknamed the engine "fathead" and the name stuck.

The Fatboy is a model in the Harley lineup, that has a Fathead engine in it if it is a Twin Cam 88.

Hope that cleared it up???? :D

Nono, i have a '93 fatboy , so with the EVO ...:D I my opinion they lost a bit of charme by engine-gearbox in 1 piece.... to ricey  :D

I have a 2008 Night Rod Special Edition on order. Wanted a cross between performance and the Harley look/life style. Super looking and performing bike.

I had a VROD that I turned into a bagger as a project. I never liked the way the ergonomics on it were though, never felt comfortable on the thing. I think the ones with the mid controls would be much better, though I haven't had the chance to ride one of those yet.

Oooh.. trade you a viper for it! (plus a lil cash of course from you) :D
