Here's a link to my Google Drive, where you can download the 2005 Dodge Ram service manual. It's an 8,000+ page beast, that covers all Rams from that year, including ours. Have fun, and enjoy! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wpDxk-yf8eH_cl7qIpX2WdZYEe7ilO7I/view?usp=sharing
I see where you're still looking for a mechanic near you. I've watched several teardowns of these engines on YouTube, and honestly, they're just a big ol' cam-in-block, pushrod engine, like a lot of old V8s. They seem to be similiar to a Dodge 360, with (2) more cylinders. I'd wager any good "performace shop" could fix you up! These guys seem well-regarded on Google and are in your area. Also, now you have the Shop Manual, so that should help out any mechanic you take it too! Siller Automotive & Performance LLC
