May I ask how old your friend is? How many payments have they made on this vehicle? Did he/she know what the payment was going to be before they signed on the dotted line? What's the term of the loan? Is this buyers remorse? Was a trade involved? Did your friend have an urgent need for a car, in particular, this very one?...... Special color?....... Credit rating? Does anybody remind him/her on a regular basis what a "bad" deal they got? I don't need answers to any of these questions, just want to illustrate the many variables that may go into a decision, (or not) to purchase, or specifically to this thread, sell.:)

I think most people would agree on this forum that the cost of mods to a truck are almost impossible to recoup when you try and sell. Should I preach to all newbees "don't mod your vehicle" as I perceive this as good advice to protect my friends here, from being "raped" or "ripped off"?. The point is, do what every you would like,..... spend whatever you want,........ just keep in mind there are many different viewpoints when it comes to "value".:)
 
Alright lets go................. Traded a 99 monte carlo, high miles due highway driving, dealer gave him 1000.00, I think he could of got a little more, HE has owned car for a year, so 11 payment so far, Urgent for a car no just wanted something new I guess. Years on payment term urrrrr 6 years, like 17% not very good, Has ok credit so thats what I dont understand. I guess at the time when he heard the payment it was cool, But like alot of people when you start paying that high payment it gets old. Guess what I am trying to say is, Do some math and take your time looking around for a good deal, Don't jump on the first thing that comes across you. :)

I do not know who we are trying to keep from getting ripped off? But what is the likely hood of someone seeing that higher priced vehicle posted, And say i'll take it without any kind of negotiation? I'm not trying to bust anybody's chops here, I just think we could give it a chance before we all trash it. Yes i think it's good to have a place that try's to keep us from getting ripped off, This place is family. Maybe they did get on here to only sell the truck, Maybe this person with a little kindness might decide, What a great place this is. Maybe this person has other vehicles that we might enjoy seeing or talking about, But then again, Maybe i'm just a dumb ass. Sorry i got a little carried away.
 
Could Joe Mags be in the car business? Sounds like it. So we should just bite our tongues and let someone get screwed by some jack off posting a truck for sale in post #1??? That's BS.

Chris, I came to this forum because I own an SRT 10. Many here know how I make my living. It is not in the car business. (search "At THE OFFICE", I donot have the talent to provide the link). If you kindly and slowly re-read my posts, I am only saying that before anyone jumps to a conclusion, realize there are many variables that should be considered when buying or selling. It is again, a pure matter of perspective. I have been against folks signing onto this forum just to sell a vehicle. (Search "grinders")The theory is, why didn't they join in the first place to share their truck experience. Then I thought about it and realized, if I wanted to sell a "10", this is probably the forum where I would advertise it. Maybe there are 10 owners out there who just don't know we exist at all. Your jumping all over a guy who did just that. If anybody on this forum was honestly and seriously interested in this truck, don't you think they might ask if anyone knows anything about it, or just as important, what do you think it's worth? We have gone as far to inspect vehicles for each other, if a member is nearby the truck for sale. I find it a difficult image for me to conjure, a member of this forum blindly running to this seller with 29000 dollars, no questions asked. Now think about hypethetically answering the question I just asked above about the "worth" of this truck. Your going to answer, with other questions about pics, mileage, paint, condition, mods, location, garaged, etc. And, God forbid, if this slime is from the car business YIKES!:p so like all "good" dealers they start a little high to see if they can generate any interest. I'm not trying to win an argument here, nor am I trying to start one. I would just like to encourage well rounded viewpoints. :)

Your pretty quick to call names man, Has anyone stepped up to make an offer on this truck? So what if he came here to sell his truck, Maybe someone just turned him on to this site. And anyone on this site that has been here for awhile knows what they go for. I'm all for looking out, But i think there is some undue anger going on here. I am glad to see there are some people that can set our truck values for us though, That way i won't get screwed if i have to sell mine. :D
 
i dont bitch about anyone prices if you dont want it dont buy it ,,,its always been in life ,buyer beware for every thing ,,,i just think its crappy to join an information forum just to sell your truck,,

and i have tryed to sell a thing or two here also and got beat down for it trashed talked to about it told i was a jerk ,,,(like my wife dont say that every other day),,,i think if you post on a forum to sell something then its like going to a shelter and buying a dog ,,,lol you get the fleas for free :D

And wouldn't this help us at some level, if folks, not only visited to sell, but also to buy, as some have done on occassion. If we chase them away, what have we accomplished? :)

A forum is a place for opinions to be shared. I shared my opinion about the post, which was a for sale post. I have never bashed a member here for their sale price but this dude was positng his truck for sale with post #1 and his price is too high. In fact, I have bit my tongue on several occassions when an established member posted their truck for sale and I thought it was priced high. Not only that, I have tried to help some members sell their trucks when I know the truck is a great deal.
Maybe I am doing this guy a favor by sharing the facts so he will price it in line with the going rate and he might actually sell it rather than sit on it for months at a price that is too high. Again, this is a matter of opinion. I have mine you have yours. You are free to express your opinion as am I. I still think this guys price is a pipe dream. So crucify me.

because this is the number one place in the WORLD to find info, sell or buy anything on a Ram SRT 10, in the WORLD:rock: :rock:

I for one hope he gets every penny he asked, i would love to see the SRT 10's get the money they are so deserved of:rock:

I think sometimes we forget just how special these dodge Ram SRT's are, they are one of a kind, never to be again, soon to be legends, and remembered forever as the one truck a manufacturer took a gamble on, they lost the hand, but we ended up with the absolute king of trucks:D

I don't understand when you say they lost the hand???? They made them for 3 years and keep the srt going and going with other cars and suv's... You are right they are special trucks worlds fastest stock, All car company loose here and there, My I don't understand why the value on these trucks did nose dive, Look at the grand national's and syclones they still hold very well for being older then these trucks are????? guess it's lifes mysterys

they jsut built them at the wrong time economically, they were introduced during a period of gasoline prices going nutts, so people looked at the fuel mileage an said, uh nono!:D

until jst a year or so ago ,you could still find dealers with brand new units on the lots, even a couple big dealers were selling tons of them at $15k off sticker jsut to get rid of them.
same with the viper last year, last year you could get a viper at 25k off sticker.

there value will go up, I jsut thiink it will be awhile yet

Ahhhh ok now I c :) yeah you are right gas prices killed alot of things................. But i dont worry about gas haha
