"In addition to the Durango recall this week, Chrysler said it was recalling about 145,000 Dodge Rams from the 2006 model year to replace the passenger air bag pack and reprogram the air bag's computer system.

The air bag system may not be compatible with some rear-facing child seat models if the passenger seat is adjusted all the way forward and an air bag deploys.

The automaker said it would also replace the front passenger seat-belt assembly in the same vehicles because it may not allow an owner to properly secure some child restraint systems. The assembly will be replaced in the recalled pickups, plus about 15,000 additional Ram pickups from the same model year.

Chrysler officials said that consumers will receive letters in the mail informing them of the problem with their vehicle and what they need to do to fix it."

Anyone have any more info? VIN ranges or anything like that?

Here is info about the seat belt recall

2006 (DR) Dodge Ram Pick Up Truck (1500 Series)
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built at the St. Louis North
Assembly Plant (“Jâ€￾ in the 11th VIN Position) with sales code XZ9 and all of the
above vehicles built at the Saltillo Assembly Plant (“Gâ€￾ in the 11th VIN Position)
and Warren Assembly Plant (“Sâ€￾ in the 11th VIN Position).

Subject

The front passenger seat belt on about 159,000 of the above vehicles may not be
able to tightly secure certain model child seats. This can increase the risk of injury
to a child seat occupant during certain crash conditions. As a result, these vehicles
fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 208 -
Occupant Crash Protection.

Here is the air bag info

2006 (DR) Dodge Ram Pick up Truck (1500 Series)
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built with Advanced
Multistage Front Airbags (sales code CG3).

Subject

The passenger airbag on about 144,000 of the above vehicles may deploy with
excessive force when certain model rear facing child seats are installed in the right
front passenger seat position. This can increase the risk of injury to a child seat
occupant during certain crash conditions. As a result, these vehicles fail to
conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 208 - Occupant
Crash Protection.
The passenger airbag cushion must be replaced and the Occupant Restraint
Controller (ORC) must be reprogrammed (flashed).
NOTE: The owner notification for this recall will be delayed until an
adequate quantity of parts is available.

Looks like I got hit with both.. I just checked my VIN and my Window Sticker, and I have a Saltillo assembled truck, and next generation airbags.
