Ford is killing itself. It is taking their most loyal customers, and instead of rallying them around a new flagship, they feel thevye been slaped in the face and sold out..

Ford sales are in the toliet, only thing saving them is the trucks and the mustang.....why not just sell the shit out of the cars and let the parent company make some money not the greedy dealers? Its like concert ticket scalping!!! The band makes none of the extra money! Stupid in my eyes!

That's exactly what I think Pitty-Pat!!! At first Ford said they would build one of for every enthusiast that wants one, and now, not so. I agree. This may have a hand in wiping them out. General Mustang sales are down 18% (from 05 M.Y. - 06 M.Y.)this past year (the new design), not a good sign for them.

If they'd pull back the leash on their dealer's a little bit, maybe none of this would happen. But doing away with SVT is a huge dissapointment in Ford (the only thing they had goin for em in my eyes, other than SuperDuty's), and allowing all dealers to carry these is a big mistake.

I would have to agree... but you have to get into the mind of the idiot Ford guys... hell, look at the L guys!!! Carol Shelby is a GOD to them, not to take anything away from the amazing man that he is... I mean, he did help create the Viper!!!

I think if you do a little research about it, you'll find that most Ford guys would've preferred to keep SVT rather than Shelby.

I have done my homework. I used to be a member of SAAC(Shelby American Auto Club) for gods sake... SVT is good and popular, but Shelby is a whole different league! SVT is kinda like a Ford guy's affordable Shelby... Yea, Cobra's are nice and fast, but slap the name Shelby on it, and a Ford guy gets an excited shit eating grin on his face bigger than Micheal Jackson at Disneyland!
