2008 Challenger from a different angle...

My dealer called and told me they had received the 08 Challenger...They didnt call the guy who ordered it until I had a chance to see it..
Anyway the pictures are flooding in but I Ithink this is probably the first under the car shots...

i told my dealer i didnt want anyone in it until i got there. didnt want it washed or nuthin. shouldnt be long now mine's in quality control right now. looks like the underside of the charger

me: thank you, can you put me thru to service.

Me: Yes, I will be picking up my Challenger tomorrow, I need a new set of tires on the rear.
Service: Sir, your vehicle is brand new.
Me: I know, but I am going to do a massive burnout in your parking lot until the tires blow off.
Service: what??????
Me: Do you have the tires in stock.
Service: Yes, we do
Me: If you pay for the second set you can smoke them off.
Service: really?
Me: yep, you pay you smoke'em...do you have an extra 2 tires after that.
Service: yes!
Me: awesome, we will put those new ones on, and I want to trade in the car on a 08 Viper!!! That Challenger wont be fast enough

Orange is by far my favorite for the Chally.

And to answer the statement of the underneath looking like a Charger.

That is correct. The 08 Challenger (Only) is on an LX platform frame and has the exact same drivetrain. The 09's will be their own platform.

Somebody please tell me you DON'T need to remove that plastic skid plate under the engine for a simple oil/filter change. :dontknow: :argh:

I didnt pay attention but I am sure you do...The 06 SRT8 I owned had a similiar tray you had to remove to change the oil....I fixed it though...just left it off...

Yes you do, but it only takes about 5 minutes to remove.

The palte is also functional. It helps keep updrafts when at high speed and also helps filter the air to the brakes for cooling.

ummmm Yup... it will shave around 30lbs just by changing to a catback. That suitcase muffler is one heavy biatch...
