2010 Dodge Viper ACR

because the lunacy of driving an acr all the time, and the composure of the zr1 are totally different....

as much as i like the viper...it is unfortunately true for the vette....

Hmm, a quote from the autoblog article: "But no one ever thought of Dodge's V10 quarter-mile thug as a serious track car. Until the Viper ACR showed up.". OK, the above accomplishment list IMO makes the "thug" a legit performer in my book.
 
Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, but didn't they have to use a V8 in the race cars? I know the Archer Brothers cars were V8's.

If I had the money, I would buy the Viper ACR before I would ever even think about the ZR1.

i belive they were V10's untill the archer cars and they did V8's because the V10 was so restricted, and i also think i remember the archer cars used the V10 block but i might be crazy?:dontknow:

I know that's true for at least the class they raced in (or one of the classes). I believe John Edwards built engines for that purpose.
