Well somebit .l tried to start the truck and wait for it

Nada

Nothing

Not a sound

Opened the hood

 

[VIPR PWR]

Removed the negative battery cable

 

[VIPR PWR]

Didn’t look like corrosion but still scuffed the cable terminal a little on the battery post and put it back on .. it’s a quick disconnect type !

Got back in the cab and it dried right up

Took it for a run and no problems .

I guess it was a thin layer on the post that didn’t allow it to have contact

Looks like I’ll be cleaning the battery post thoroughly tomorrow.
Maybe even do a full engine compartment clean up like the Dakota ..

Hmmm ,, maybe that will fix the problem previously stated about the lights not working when the truck is not running ….
