I currently have a 2.5" catback with magnapacks installed. On top of that I have intake, mopar long tubes, catless mids and a tune. Is it worth it for me to buy a 3" exhaust or just save the money and keep the 2.5. Also will the sound be difference be noticeable.

I'm not sure but I also have the molar long tubes with magnaflow 2.5"

I am upgrading to a 3" from the headers back I hope there is a sound difference

More are in, more are out.

so the gains are worth the money with the catback
Only you can answer that question.

If you do install a 3" system, purchase an X-pipe or H-pipe too and go true duals.

I picked up 9 HP and 15 Tq on my hemi with that mod top end. Don't know what I did with the SRT-10, didn't do a before and after dyno. (I'm sure even more, but can't verify it.)

Local vendor here or Aeroturbine.

where are you guys getting the H/X pipe from or are you just having your exhaust shop make it? whats the difference between the two?

I'm only taking a guess, but I'm thinking to switch from 2.5 to 3" the gain will be next to not noticable(maybe a couple HP),if 3" was a whole lot better I'm sure Mopar would have made their headers with 3" collectors and Im sure they spent a few bucks on testing to see with what works? JMO.

i built my own 3" exhaust on the hemi...

cost me barely over $100

7ft pipe section- $40 new
bullet mufller and turndown- $40 new
heat tape, muffler mount, - $25

had a friend with a welder (and band-aids haha)
i like the 3" exhaust better.

I still have 5.5ft of that pipe if you want to buy it,
