Been talking with Rice Eater about his tires.. and so today I had a conversation with Micheal and then John @ M&H, and I am a bit confused on the wheels being used for these monsters.

John says DONT use a 9 inch wide wheel at all costs its unsafe, and the part numbe from Rice Eater to AE Wheels only goes up to a 17x9...

So I am a bit confused.. as I want to put my order in for the tires, and be sure that I can locate some wheels with the appropriate backspacing.

I am not questioning your help Rice Eater.. just looking for clarification...

Go to american eagles website and look around at the 058 and 187 series you will find them in 17x10's

I have contacted my source for wheels locally where I have an account and get stuff at cost for what I am looking for.. hopefully he can locate me something, my backup plan is to go with AE wheels.

I asked John about putting a 12" wide tire on a 10" wide rim and he didn't see an issue. A 9" rim may be pushing it. I was skeptical but seeing them mounted and in action on the road cruising the feel good. M&H says 11" wide rim to be safe....but so far the 10" is working.

Its good to do your own checking around....I know I did my fair share!

I am just waiting on a reply from my supplier, and see what he comes up with.. I doubt a 12" wheel would fit on our trucks... My guess is that it will be the AEs...

a 12" wide tire fits....I don't see why a 12" wide rim wouldn't??:dontknow:
