You will probably get better in town mileage and less hwy....but both will be minimal..

So with 0-60 and 1/4 mile times being rated the same for both years how do the gears make the truck any faster?

Ratings are just guidelines...if you go to a 4.56 you might see a tenth better time in the quarter....but around town your truck will feel lighter and faster.....

So do you think 4.56's would help light to light then?? :marchmellow:

i still have the 4.88's laying around... must do the job one time... 6the gear would become more usefull and 1the.... tireburner ? :dontknow: :D :D :D :D

Street and 1/8 mile tracks..4.88

1/4 mile track..4.56

Cool the only track within 150 miles of me is a 1/8 mile so 4.88's would be perfect. I think that will be one more to add to the list for this winter.

I talked the fiance into letting me get this truck so we'd have something to tow a horse trailer with around the area. No long tows but still I'm obligated now.

Be careful...its a regular cab!!!!

Oh, I'll be careful. That's why I'm trying to prepare for it and find out as much as possible about things I can do to make it safe.

Think you got that bakards Eddie...you want lower gears to tow...4.56 or 4.88..

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Bigger gears = less bog = less clutch spin. :dontknow: Right?
