After reading a lot on here probably one of the best things I can do to preserve my clutch during towing is to switch to 4.56 or 4.88 gears. It sounds like my cheapest and easiest options are the 4.56 even though I would love to go to the 4.88. So I'm just wondering if anyone has upgraded from a 4.56 to a 4.88 and still has their 4.56 laying around and may want to sell them. :dontknow:

LOL, I'm stalking you :D

Not a fan of used gears in a daily driver.....because of the towing, I would highly advise 4.88's, but IMHO you should really consider NEW gears.....

Again, if you can stand it, leave the truck alone.....save a couple grand, get an old, reliable 1992, ugly-a$$ dodge 1 ton.....those are EASY to work on, and I had a buddy buy a running, good driving one for about $2k.....
