Anyone know what are the differences between the deisel and srt 48RE auto transmissions ----for that matter even the 727 torqueflight internals appear to be very similar.....:dontknow:

if I am not mistaken the 48re and the diesel trannys are the same,not sure about the 727 though.:elefant:
 
the diesel 48re is the same as the srt-10 48re thats what i was told by the repairman at dodge that repaired my tranny 3 times....:burnout:........(by the way each time my tranny went out, it was not the same parts going bad)....

The diesel ones are not the same, the ones for the srt's were modified to survive under high rpm. I think I heard a problem about spinning the fluid off the clutches???

maybe thats way my tranny kept going out the guy doing the work did not know the 2 trannys where not the same...............:dontknow:
