I just wanted to let all the folks in SoCal know about a worthwhile trip to make on the 4th. At 10 am there will be a burial at Riverside National Cemetery. I will be there to pay my respects to the family of this hero, Corpsman Dustin Burnett USN. Dustin will be buried in the same cemetery as his Great Grandfather and Grandfather. It is obvious that this is the kind of family that has done all they can to defend our country, I figure taking an hour of my time to show them some appreciation and respect is the least I can do.
The Department of Defense announced today the death a sailor supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Hospitalman Dustin Kelby Burnett, 19, of Fort Mohave, Ariz., was assigned to First Marine Division Detachment, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
He died June 20 while conducting combat operations in Farah Province, Afghanistan.
