4x4 guys?

i know i know this is a 10 forum, but since i think im the only guy with a 10 and a transfer case here, does anybody else have prior or current expireince with 4x4? i know my fair share of things and am lookin more for opinions than knowlege on this.. i know that i wanna go in the pre runner type direction with my truck. i've figured out what coils and leafs, shocks and links im usin too so i aint worried about that. more aimed toward the asthetics tho. i want the pre runner performance. but i wanna keep it lookin like a sleeper. i wanna suprise the hell out of some 5.0 mustangs

What do you have for an engine? Viper V-10 or cast block? in a 1500 or a 2500?

2500 with the 8.0 iron block. dana 60 front 70 rear 3:55 with lim slip out back.

I'm not sure you realize just how far away from a 5.0 you are. The 5.0's are faster than stock Srt10's and we are a lot lighter with 500hp. If you just want more power that's understandable, you wanna go fast sell it and start with a cummins

all the 5.0s here are usually in the 90's mustangs. couple fox bodies but i know better than that. and i dont care if i beat em, i just wanna be able to make em sweat a little. i know the power to weight ratio aint on my side and i understand that. as it stands i prolly have the fastest truck in the county.

When I was a kid I drove a '69 W250 with a pumped up 440. It ran 15.35's, on 35" tires, at 4500' elevation. Never could get it too hook up in 2WD so that was spinning them hard out of the hole. Occasionally I would lock in the hubs, put it in low range and do 100 yard drag races. It would light up both rear tires (posi) and the fronts for about 10' feet, then set you back in the seat HARD. Never did get beat and I raced crotch rockets, four wheelers on paddles in the sand, etc.

yeah i've raced mud trucks since i was 12, and theres no way in hell i'd launch in 2wd unless it was a roll on. i know for a fact this truck will burn 32's in 4 hi for about 10-15 foot. im upsizin to 35's and will be gittin a wider tire so im not sure if it will burn em but i expect it to lauch good. like i said i dont expect to completely whomp the mustangs but i do wanna keep pretty close with em. i know the only one shootin goofy juice dyno'd at just shy of 600... dont really think theyre built too well neither..
