Thanks for the post Phil. I am trying to be patient, but I want this car NOW especially if they put a 6.6 with say 500-550 hp in one. :rock: :rock:

Rumor around is the 6.6 will put out 500hp. This is why no Viper for "07".
I'm hearing 650+ for "08".
Got a call in to find out more.

the 6.4 hemi already puts 510 hp...why would they put a 6.6 on the challenger unless it make's more hp?

The 392 is an awesome crate motor. They had it on display at Mopars at the Strip and I'm sure at the NATS. The article says the Challenger will have a 6.6. It may be that they detuned the the 392 engine for more reliability and added some displacement to make up for the performance loss. There isn't enough information yet. The dust will soon settle and we'll know the real details. The point is that there will be something hot under the hood beyond the current 6.1!
