So, it's the trucks birthday on Wednesday (the 17th) :birthday: .

I was looking around in the manual and saw a pretty big list of stuff that is supposed to be done at 60 months.

Change Oil/Filter (just did that on Saturday)
Change rear axle fluid
Change transmission fluid/filter, and adjust bands
Flush and replace engine coolant
Replace spark plugs
Replace ignition cables
Rotate tires

and inspect a bunch of crap.

How much does all this cost to get done? At a dealer vs. doing it yourself.

BTW, It only has 4,014 miles.

The 60 month service is based on an average of about 10,000 miles per year. If you only have 4K in miles you should guage your fluid change on actual time and not miles.

Fluid does not go bad over time (with the exception of brake fluid, it absorbs moisture from the air and should be changed over time) fluids go bad from heat/friction breakdown and particals floating that are not trapped by the filter.

Fluid change once a year should be good for your schedule (oils that is), engine coolant say every two years, brake fluid every three.

Coils, Ignition cables and plugs should still be fine, just don't let them get old and cracked looking from age.

Tire rotation, drive it to keep the flat spots off the tires and rotate about every other oil change or 6,000 miles.
