'65 Cobra Being Auctioned

Maybe a "Mothers Day" gift for Christine?:p Are you going to the auction? Lets all chip in! :D I like the Macum auctions, I think one of our trucks ended up there. Not sure.:dontknow:

It would be a good excuse to get to get with a few friends...I don't think I deserve such a vehicle...it should be in the hands of a life-long Cobra fan like Silverback.

That is a very special vehicle...with incredible heritage and is really the parent of the millions of pony cars that followed.

Amen to that Prof!! I love the fact that they took on Ferrari for a good 'ol American style challenge. I thought this whole thing started with Enzo backing out of a deal that would have Ford buy Ferrari.

Beautiful car...... I don't think there are even 6 left anymore.

Actually, only 6 were ever built.

And to be truthful, I was never that big of a Daytona Coupe fan.

I do however think it would look wonderful in Roy's garage.;) :D

I was.... I wasn't so fond of the back view (with the scaloped buttocks and the little tail lights)..... but the profile view was spot-on-sexy. :)

.... However.... The Viper GTS (in my opinion) was one of the very few cars that actually improved on the design it was intended to emulate. ;) The GTS is automotive design perfection. But, again, that's just my humble opinion.

If I ever hit the lotto... I would love to have a Superformance Daytona Coupe, and a GT40 Replica sitting next to each other in the garage..... both in BLACK, of course.

Another small tidbit on Coupe history.... ;) http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/video/video_player.shtml?vid=519722

Wow, $15,000,000.00.
Carol Shelbys Twin SCed Cobra was auctioned off for $5.5m, that was a one of a kind.
